Vashon Event: Hot Flashes Cold Showers
Island resident Susan McCabe presents her new one-woman show, Hot Flashes, Cold Showers, in premiere performances at 7:30 pm Friday and Saturday, October 17 and 18, on the Blue Heron Stage. The show is adapted from McCabe’s essays over the years and is “a mix of humorous and teaching moments in life . . . as in Erma Bombeck meets Eve Ensler,” says McCabe. Pianist Jack Barbash will introduce each scene with a familiar tune from the 1940s to 80s. Islander Patrick McManus will perform his one-man show for the second half of the evening. Tickets are $12 and $14. Call 463-5131 to reserve.
